I got these to remove sutures for my family and our dogs. The scissors are sharp and the hemostat keeps the suture taunt for cutting close to the skin. I would recommend these for in home use!

The suture scissors already have some peeling of the paint and they are very stiff. Stiffness can be worked out but bummed on the peeling. There’s also a sharp cut in the metal where the blades close. Bandage scissors and hemostats are great though! They are a little stiff but not as bad as the suture scissors

This is a great set at a fair price!! I work as a vet tech. The shears are sharp and get the job done so much better than the communal shears we have at work. The hemostats are nice, nothing special. I don’t frequently use the suture removers as the edge is somewhat thick and cannot get under the sutures well. But overall I love this set and recommend it to my coworkers. I love that you can get different colors and patterns- there seems to be something for everyone’s taste.
